Suspension of all university operations for the remainder of the day
Dear students, faculty and staff of our beloved community,
The unfolding of events today has been most distressing, and we pray that you and your loved ones are safe.
The campus throughout the day has remained a haven for everyone. However, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to close the university and suspend all classes and exams for the rest of the day.
The campus will be available for those who wish to remain within its walls especially if they need more time to get home.
Please do not take any unnecessary risks if the roads are unsafe and please do not hesitate to reach out to the campus staff for any assistance.
If you missed any exams, you will be able to sit for make-up exams at a later date.
As Fridays are online classes days, no physical presence is required for tomorrow, and with Monday already announced as an official holiday for the Prophet’s birthday, LAU is planning to reopen its campus on Tuesday.
Keep safe, your safety is the most important priority.
