Obituary of Mr. Joseph Maroun
To the LAU Family and Community,
I learned with deep sadness and utmost regret of the passing away of former member of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Joseph Maroun, whose links to LAU were very solid over an extended period of time. He was a firm believer in LAU’s mission and it’s pivotal role in the society.
Mr. Maroun gave LAU generously of himself and his wise counsel as a former member of the Board of Trustees for a period of 14 years extending from 1996 to 2010. He was also a generous donor but above all a good and faithful friend of our institution.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire LAU family , I extend to his bereaved wife and family our deepest condolences and utmost respect for his memory which will live on in our hearts. We will celebrate his exceptional life as we mourn his death.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. at Saint Maroun Church, Gemayze, Beirut. Condolences will be received in the Church Hall prior to and after the funeral service.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
