Appointment of Director of Academic Compliance
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that President Mawad has approved the appointment of Dr. Hussein Hassan, Associate Professor of Food Science and Technology in the School of Arts and Sciences, as Director of Academic Compliance effective January 1, 2022. Dr. Hassan will be responsible for following-up and ensuring that all academic programs are compliant with the pertinent governmental agencies, MEHE and NYSED. Dr. Hassan will be replacing the retiring Dr. Nashat Mansour who held the role for the past three years.
Congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Hussein Hassan on his new role and responsibilities as Director of Academic Compliance.
I would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Dr. Nashat Mansour for his leadership, dedication and long service as a faculty member and administrator at LAU, including a stint as dean of the LAU School of Arts and Sciences. Please join me in wishing Dr. Mansour the best in his future endeavors and thanking him for his deep loyalty and long service to LAU.
