Full-Time Faculty Position in Information Technology Management (ITM) / Management Information Systems (MIS)

About the Position:
The Information Technology and Operations Management (ITOM) Department at the Lebanese American University (LAU) is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in Information Technology Management (ITM) or Management Information Systems (MIS). We are expanding our faculty to enhance our programs in ITM, ERP, and Digital Transformation, supporting the department’s focus on bridging technology and business through education and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in IT Management, ERP, Systems Analysis, Digital Transformation, Database Management Systems, Networking, and Information Technology/ Information Systems Strategy.
- Lead course development in areas such as digital innovation, IT governance, and enterprise systems.
- Conduct impactful research aligned with ITOM’s focus on emerging technologies in business.
- Engage in curriculum enhancement to support the launch of new programs and specializations.
- Supervise undergraduate projects and graduate theses, providing mentorship to students.
- Collaborate with faculty on interdisciplinary research and departmental projects.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Information Technology Management, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proven research track record with publications in reputable journals.
- Ability to teach courses in areas such as ERP (SAP or other platforms), IT Strategy, Digital Transformation, and IT Infrastructure.
- Experience with industry partnerships, technology consulting, or project-based learning is a plus.
- Proficiency in using or teaching with tools such as SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, Tableau, or cloud computing technologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Areas of Expertise (One or More):
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and business process automation.
- IT project management and agile methodologies.
- IT governance, cybersecurity, and risk management.
- Digital platforms and ecosystems.
- Business intelligence, cloud systems, and IoT applications in operations.

The Department strives to generate knowledgeable people who are adept at managing information technology and who can effectively contribute to their businesses and communities in a constantly changing technological environment. It also strives to actively collaborate with the corporate sector, consistently innovate, and raise the bar on its research so as to improve the efficacy of education and its reach around the globe.
