The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applicants for a possible teaching opportunity as a lab instructor for the Computer Engineering program on the Beirut campus effective Spring 2025 (from January 16, 2025 to May 13, 2025). The course descriptions are as follows:
- COE 211 – Computer Programming (Lab)
Description: This course covers a high-level programming language syntax (Java), structured programming, basic constructs, arrays, object programming, case studies, and projects tailored towards solving engineering and mathematically-oriented problems.
- COE 313 – Data Structures Lab
Description: This Lab provides hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and using the most-commonly used data structures including arrays, stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, hash tables, and graphs. Other topics may include sorting algorithms, polymorphism, and recursion.
- COE 322 – Logic Design Lab
Description: This laboratory course provides hands-on experience implementing digital logic design systems using modern computer-aided design tools, discrete components, breadboards, and digital probes.
- ELE 402 – Electronics Lab
Description: The laboratory experiments are hands-on implementation of the devices and circuitry (op-amps, diodes and transistors) presented in the course as well as circuit simulation using the SPICE software
Applicants must have obtained a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field by the time of appointment. Applicants must have good oral and written English communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants with prior related teaching experience or holding a Masters degree.
