Administrative Assistant
The School of Medicine / Faculty Affairs & Development Office is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant reporting to the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs & Development. This position is based in the Medical School facility in Achrafieh, with occasional commuting to the Byblos Campus and the LAU Medical Centers.Role Summary
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Faculty Affairs & Development Office, ensuring efficient office operations and effective communication. This role involves managing records, preparing materials, and supporting faculty development activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Handles the day-to-day operations of the Faculty Affairs & Development Office
- Prepares meeting agendas and compiles relevant materials; takes minutes when needed
- Maintains office records and documentations, ensuring confidentiality, and managing timely and accurate filing and retrieval of information
- Supports the planning, organization, implementation and dissemination of faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars
- Assists in preparing reports, presentations, and documentations
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Biology or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience in administrative support, preferably in an academic setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent writing skills (professional documents, emails and reports)
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other applications
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with commitment to deadlines
- Team player
Work Schedule
The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with possible/occasional attendance after hours and/or during weekends (or holidays) when necessary for extended hours or events.
