Assessment & Accreditation Officer
The School of Business is currently looking for an Assessment & Accreditation Officer reporting to the Dean. This position is based on Beirut campus with occasional commuting to Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Assessment & Accreditation Officer is mainly responsible for coordinating and supporting all assessment & accreditation activities as well as continuous improvement initiatives. He/she acquires, maintains and reports data as required, coordinates the strategic plan implementation schedule and activities as well as acquires, maintains and reports on KPIs.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepares, reviews and updates annual progress reports: accreditation, SP implementation, assessment, and ranking
- Acquires, compiles, processes and reports pertinent data: programs, faculty, student, etc., as needed
- Monitors faculty qualification ratios (by semester) and alerts when not in compliance with AKSOB guidelines
- Gathers and shares pertinent data and reports with other university entities as requested by the Dean’s Office
- Compiles, statistically analyzes assessment outcomes and prepares the annual assessment report in close coordination with various program assessment committees
- Monitors and reports any changes in school and program accreditation standards
- Liaises with accreditation agencies as AKSOB contact, in coordination with the Dean’s Office
- Participates in department/committee/council/advisory group meetings by invitation, as needed
- Coordinates and supports the organization of events and visits (logistics) related to accreditation, continuous improvement, assessment and related services
- Supports Chairs and Program Directors on program review initiatives. Follows up with program registration and license renewals with the proper university entity
- Assists the Dean, if and when needed, in preparing reports related to AKSOB achievements and performance
- Works with the career and placement officer to ensure data needed for accreditation is updated
- Prepares the plan and the calendar of all activities and deliverables related to accreditation
- Coordinates with program specific assessment and examination committees to organize and prepare the annual calendar of all deliverables related to production of the School Assessment Report
- Identifies the necessary resources to carry on the duties of the office of quality control, accreditation, assessment and related services
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Statistics, Data Analytics or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in assessment, accreditation, data analytics, quality assurance or a related field. Experience with AACSB accreditation is preferred
- Highly skilled in computer software advanced excel, spreadsheet applications, SPSS and others
- Highly skilled in researching, collecting and analyzing data
- Excellent command of English
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with commitment to deadlines
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality of records and information
