Foreman, PMCA - Byblos
The Facilities Management Department / Project Management & Contract Administration Office is currently looking for a Foreman, PMCA reporting to the Construction Manager. This position is based on Byblos Campus.Role Summary
The Foreman is responsible for supervising the construction activities and following up on official requests at government authorities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors the day-to-day capital projects on-site activities ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols and quality standards
- Follows up on applications and requisitions and obtains official documents from relevant authorities needed for the projects
- Ensures that the work activities are being implemented by the contractors as requested
- Ensures that all the tasks performed on site are approved prior to execution
- Inspects work progress, attends to construction queries and conveys related instructions to assist with difficult situations or technical problems
- Communicates project updates to the Construction Manager and ensures alignment with project plans
- Ensures compliance with university policies, building codes, and safety regulations
- Ensures that the contractors’ representatives handle all cleanup tasks before they leave and that all tools, equipment and materials are put away or removed from site
- Validates that all locks are in place and secured
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Technical Baccalaureate (BT3) degree, with relevant specialization (civil/electrical/ mechanical/plumbing/land surveying); TS is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of on-site experience in a senior related role
- Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to drive the project and communicate at varying levels
- Working knowledge of construction works for all trades
- Knowledge of general construction safety standards including personal protective devices, hazardous materials, and power tool safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with attention to details
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic
- Computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Work Schedule: This position follows a normal work schedule (Monday to Saturday), with possible/occasional attendance after hours and/or during weekends (or holidays) to supervise ongoing works.
