Part-Time TL Curricular Officer

The International Services Office is currently looking for a TL Curricular Officer to work on both campuses (Beirut and Byblos). This position is for a limited duration.
Role Summary
The TL Curricular Officer is responsible for providing guidance and assistance for TL (Tomorrow’s Leaders Program) students on their academic planning and progress by designing schedules, recommending courses and determining appropriate education solutions to guarantee TL students will graduate within the duration of the grant and fulfill all the required University and TL courses/requirements.
Additionally, he/she will follow through and track the academic advancement of students every semester.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Advised TL students on their course load as per their selected major of acceptance
- Monitors the registration of students every semester to ensure that students are not enrolling in courses not required for their degree
- Follows up on the academic performance of the students: 3 progress reports to be collected from their instructors each semester
- Provides students with a detailed academic plan covering the years of their studies
- Updates the study plan according to the progress of the students and to any changes that might occur during the duration of the grant
- Plans TL courses and incorporates them into the study plans to guarantee the completion of the requirements on time
- Incorporates the US semester load into the study plan as per the grant requirements
- Reports back to TL administration regularly on the academic status of students, GPA requirement, and grades needed to get out of probation when applicable
- Performs any relevant additional task assigned by the Program Director
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the academic field
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English and Arabic
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Banner is a plus
- Resourcefulness, resilience, and openness to diverse views
- Multi-tasking ability and excellent organization skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
