Staff Recruitment Coordinator
The Human Resources Department is currently looking for a Staff Recruitment Coordinator reporting to the Director of Staff Recruitment. This is a central position based on Beirut Campus.Role Summary
The Staff Recruitment Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the recruitment process as per the established procedures. S/he handles job postings, candidate applications, organizes interview logistics, and serves as the primary point of contact for all recruitment-related queries.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Posts job openings on the LAU website and other portals/job boards as needed
- Collects and stores all incoming CVs pertaining to the advertised vacancies
- Compiles candidate data including credentials, qualifications, experience and other relevant information for review
- Prepares recruitment files for the Director and other stakeholders, including summarized candidate information and supporting documentation
- Contacts shortlisted candidates to schedule interviews providing them with all necessary details and serving as a point of contact for any questions
- Handles the logistics of interviews including space reservation, access to campus, travel logistics and ensure all technology and materials are in place
- Maintains and updates a complete and organized file for each vacancy, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Reviews and verifies candidates’ credentials, such as educational qualifications, work experience and references. Vets candidates with the legal office in line with university guidelines
- Serves as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, addressing inquiries and providing updates on the status of their application
- Informs unsuccessful candidates about the outcome of the recruitment process in a professional and timely manner
- Provides regular updates to the Director regarding recruitment progress, candidate pools, and any challenges faced during the hiring process
- Files all documents related to the recruitment process and ensures proper closure of recruitment files for audit purposes
- Maintains the recruitment log by regularly updating the status of each position and candidate
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, preferably in HR, Business, Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in Human Resources, out of which 2 are in recruitment operations or talent acquisition
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills in English and Arabic
- Service excellence and customer focus
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to uphold organizational values and maintain confidentiality and impartiality
