Utilities BMS Operator - Byblos
The Physical Plant Office / Utilities Unit is currently looking for a Utilities BMS Operator reporting to the Utilities Manager. This position is based on Byblos campus.Role Summary
The Utilities BMS Operator is mainly responsible for operating and maintaining the building management system.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs routine checkups on various Johnson Controls Metasys Building Management System (BMS) and SIEMENS Desigo CC (BMS) infrastructure
- Monitors, through BMS software, building systems including: HVAC, Lighting, Security, Fire Suppression, Power Generation, Plumbing, and Electrical
- Adjusts BMS settings and parameters to meet changing conditions, i.e., Load, Environmental, END-User needs, etc.
- Maintains BMS sensors and field devices; replaces defective ones and install new ones where needed
- Creates trends, alarms, schedules and generates reports periodically and as needed to monitor and report on operation as well as energy and water performance
- Attends to emergencies by making remote interventions on the BMS
- Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned, such as but not limited to overnight shifts, holidays, and weekend duties
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Technical Studies (TS) degree, with relevant specialization (Electrical/HVAC)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in installation and maintenance of BMS Systems
- PLC Programming, sequence of operation for building systems (HVAC, power generation and load management, UPS Systems)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Patience, self-control and endurance
