LAUers in More Ways than One

Ghada Majed ‘21

As a single mom, a senior executive and a student, achieving a balance was not easy. But I learned to follow a routine and stick to it, pushing my limits and abiding by the old saying: “When there is a will, there is a way.” This required a lot of dedication and mastery of multitasking, making it possible for me to see it through.

I owe it to my mom for pushing me to persevere and become a living example for my little daughter, showing her that education and self-development has no age limits. I also owe it to my LAU that gave me a lot on all levels: great education, belief in lifelong learning and a sense of belonging that has effectively made the university a second home.

This experience topped off my work expertise by offering more pragmatic and real-life applications. It was enriching as it helped me build and nurture long-term relationships with executives to obtain the tools and perspectives needed for career development.
