Experience

LAUers in More Ways than One

May Nader

My daughter’s journey with LAU began when she was only three years old. Our dream grew throughout the years. I am a staff member at the Hospitality Department and Lily used to come and visit me in the office, spending time in the garden, enjoying the green environment, going around the water fountains, watching and feeding the cats, borrowing books from the library, and attending the theaters in our safe and pleasant campus.  She also used to cross the Campus daily to reach her school, which means that she has been at LAU for 22 years.  Since that time, the dream has been her graduation day.

That dream has now come true, with Lily obtaining her master’s degree from LAU.

Good job Habibti.  I am sure that all the precious memories will stay in your heart forever.  We are happy for you and so proud that you have achieved this great milestone.  You had the privilege of receiving your BS degree from President Joseph Jabbra and your MBA degree from President Michel Mawad.

One more thing I wish to add.  During the lockdown, while the classes were given online, I used to overhear the professors’ impressive lectures.  I wish to thank the professors for their dedication, encouragement and intellect. They are the best.

Lily, you have worked hard and proved yourself to be independent, mature and smart.  We believe in you and wish you all the best for your future.

Our advice to you is to continue your devotion and hard work to fulfill your passion for learning.

Finally, best Professors, best Staff, best Campus ever, thank you all.  Thank you LAU.
