Training and Programs

LAU actively organizes training programs and initiatives to improve access to basic services for all, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility and community impact.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Program (TLP), hosted by the university, fosters leadership development and equips students with the skills needed to address challenges in their communities. This includes projects such as “Towards the End of Period Poverty”, where students designed a machine to produce low-cost, high-quality sanitary pads, directly improving access to essential hygiene products for underserved populations.

The Academy of Continuing Education (ACE) and the Center for Continuing Education Programs (CEP) also play a vital role by offering specialized training programs like the TFL Program, aimed at empowering individuals and organizations with the knowledge and tools to create sustainable solutions that improve community access to services.

Furthermore, the School of Architecture and Design (SArD) integrates community service engagements and socially impactful projects into its curriculum, addressing specific community needs. By fostering connections with local and global communities, organizing student exhibitions, and revising curricula to remain dynamic, SArD ensures its students contribute to improving access to services in areas like art, design, and architecture. This commitment is strengthened through partnerships with industries and accrediting bodies such as the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).

Through these comprehensive efforts, the university demonstrates its dedication to improving basic services access while empowering students and the community to create lasting, meaningful change.

By Students, for Students

All five LAU Simulation Models are entirely student-led and organized. The training content is prepared, delivered and managed by LAU students – themselves a large, diverse group of motivated youth who are majoring in different disciplines but united in their vision and mission to promote youth leadership. They meticulously manage school relations, prepare the training content that they deliver, provide technical support, organize special events within the programs, and ensure that the work runs seamlessly.

Many LAU student leaders are selected to participate in the annual Global Classrooms International Model United Nations Program in New York City, which brings together middle school and high school students from all over the world to role-play and train as ambassadors.
